We take the protection of your data seriously

Thank you for visiting our website and taking an interest in the activities of JTP – Jednota tlumočníků a překladatelů (Association of Interpreters and Translators). We treat your personal data confidentially and in processing it we follow the current legal regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council). Below we give more details about the principles we follow to protect your privacy.

The controller of personal data in the sense defined in the Regulation is JTP – Jednota tlumočníků a překladatelů, registered address Senovážné náměstí 978/23, 110 00 Prague 1, Czech Republic.

JTP processes personal data for purposes for which consent is not needed – for example, for keeping membership records. JTP may process personal data for other purposes only with your consent. On principle, we do not pass on personal data to any third parties. The only exception is that we pass on personal data, to the minimum extent necessary and while observing all legal conditions and restrictions, to WP Associations | Tanya Quintieri, registered address Na Vršku 1007, 280 02 Kolín IV, which is responsible for administering our IT infrastructure.

What data do we process?

If you are already a member, JTP acquires your data if you register to receive news from us, join the JTP discussion group, or take part in an educational or other activity organised by JTP, and enter your personal data in the relevant application form, or publish your data in your membership profile on the website. Some data are collected automatically by our information system when you use the JTP website.

How long do we store personal data?

Personal data that we can process without your consent will be stored by us for the duration of our legitimate interest in storing them. If you ask us to erase your personal data, we will erase them permanently without undue delay, except for those data which we are legally obliged to store.
